Tanong Po-arn  

Tanong Po-arn was head of the Labour Congress of Thailand, the largest labour organisation in the country, as well as deputy chairman of the International Council of Free Trade Unions. 

 

He went missing following the 1991 military coup against the elected government. Tanong was campaigning for labour rights and welfare, including state welfare, minimum wage, the Social Security Act, and increasing workers' power to negotiate with the government.
